I'm an ABC (American-born Chinese), daughter of immigrant parents, and first-time mom. I fell in love with storytelling in the third grade, when Roald Dahl put a kid inside a giant peach and somehow made that seem like a perfectly reasonable way to get around.

Who knew I'd be able to find my way back to storytelling and make a career out of it? I'm a senior content editor and editorial strategist, and my favorite part of the job is finding the story buried in the technical stuff. Sometimes that means sifting through 4,500 survey responses to figure out what people are really saying. Sometimes it means launching a video podcast to tell a company story but forcing my guests to play a game of retro Snake to really drive the metaphor home.

I'm also an SOP nerd (thanks to my brief time at Genentech), so this whole idea of using AI to work smarter is right up my alley. I'm all for scalable content production, minus the AI slop.

Because in a growing sea of AI sameness, a little personality goes a long way. Don't cha think?
